About this course

Moods shape everything. They color how we hear a colleague, what we believe is possible, and whether we even start the conversations that matter. Most of us were never taught to notice them, name them, or shift them.

Mastering Moods is a six-week course that teaches a practical skill: the ability to recognize the mood you are in, understand where it comes from, and move toward a more productive one. The work is grounded in the ontological tradition and draws on current research on how emotions are made.

Each week pairs a restrictive mood with its productive counterpart. You will work with twelve essential moods, from resignation and resentment to ambition, gratitude, trust, and resolution. The practice happens in the body, in language, and in our relationships with others.

Throughout the course you will use the Mooden app as your daily companion. New features unlock each week, mirroring what you are learning. After the course ends, the app stays with you as a lifelong tool for the practice.

Most people describe their emotional state with two words: “good” and “fine.” This module opens up a much larger landscape. Work with more than 150 moods, learn to name them precisely, and move from resentment to gratitude through forgiveness.

Underneath every mood is an assessment, a story we tell ourselves about what happened. Learn to pause and examine those stories, and how doing so opens space to choose a different response. Move from anxiety toward serenity.
