Mooden

A daily practice for noticing the moods that shape your work — grounding them, building skills, and moving toward trust, care, and resolution. Mooden stands on its own and is the companion app for the Mastering Moods course.

Overview

Every team is always in a mood. Sometimes it's ambitious and resolved. Sometimes it's stuck in resignation, distrust, or overwhelm. Most of the time, nobody names it, and yet the mood quietly shapes every conversation, every decision, and every commitment that follows.

Mooden is a daily practice tool for individuals, teams, and the leaders who hold them. It stands on its own and also serves as the companion app for the Mastering Moods course.

Foundations and Vocabulary

Most of us describe our state with two words: “good” and “fine.” Mooden opens up a much larger landscape. Notice the mood you are in, name it from a library of over 150 moods, and start to see your own patterns and those of your team. The first moods you will work with include resignation, ambition, resolution, care, resentment, and gratitude.

Reflecting and Grounding

Underneath every mood is an assessment, a story we tell ourselves about what is happening. Mooden guides you through a four-step reflection that helps you examine that story and open space for a different one. This is the bridge from anxiety toward serenity, and from automatic reaction to thoughtful choice.

Cultivating

Awareness alone does not change a mood. Mooden offers a library of cultivation practices across three domains: the body, the language you use, and the relationships you tend to. Pick a practice, commit to it, and start moving from frustration toward confidence, one day at a time.

Conversations and Orchestrating

Every conversation you have is shaped by the mood you bring to it. Before a hard meeting, a delicate piece of feedback, or a difficult negotiation, Mooden helps you prepare. For leaders, this is also where you learn to read and shape the moods of your team, moving from distrust toward trust, and from overwhelm toward resolution.
